NFL Daily Fantasy Sports Lineup - Week 5 - 10/05/2018
Happy Friday, Who2Start’ers.  Looking back at last week, we hit big on Watson and Cooper, but the late scratch of Chris Carson and ho-hum efforts from the likes of OBJ did us in.  Hope you were able to formulate a winning roster with some of our picks.  Let’s take a look at how this week shakes out roster-wise.
Wide Receiver:  We all know the NFL is turning into a pass-heavy league.  Heck, it’s been this way for awhile.  So we are going to check out the Vegas over/unders for some clues as to what players involved in the pass game look to be the best-bets.  Golden Tate is one of the highest-scoring WRs in FanDuel scoring thus far and looks like a relative value at $7,400.  The o/u for the GBP-DET game is 51.5, which is among the highest of the week.  Good bet Tate keeps up with his high scoring this week.
Running Back:  Looking for a high-volume guy at RB this week.  Also looking to the Vegas lines as we want a guy that’s going to be involved in a higher-scoring affair.  Marshawn Lynch (just $6,500) has a ton of upside this week against the Bolts.  He has been a workhorse for the Raiders.  Lots of DFSers will probably be off Lynch this week based on the Bolts’ being seemingly great against the run at home.  They haven’t faced a back like Lynch yet, though.  Great pivot this week in tournaments.
Quarterback:  Going with the numbers again here.  The o/u isn’t as high as some games, but Blake Bortles’ ($7,000) Jags are facing a KC D giving up a ton of fantasy production.  We’re going to try and stack next.
Wide Receiver:  It’s really a dice roll trying to figure out what Jag WR is going to be Bortles’ main target week to week.  Prior to last week, Keelan Cole ($5,700) had 17 targets in his previous two games.  Last week was an anomaly, though.  The Jets have a fantastic secondary.  KC, not so much.  We like Cole’s chances at being “the guy” for the Jag passing game this week.  At just $5,700, he’s a nice WR2 value.  We’ll look to add value at DEF next.
Defense:  We’re going to continue to chase defenses facing rookie QBs.  It’s between Tennessee ($3,900) and San Francisco ($3,800).  We’ll go with the home team here; the Niners.
Tight End:  This position is getting thinner and thinner.  We’re going to overpay a bit here, with Zach Ertz ($7,500) facing a Viking defense that allowed Jimmy Graham and George Kittle to gain over 90 yards each.
Running Back:  We have just over an average of $7,300 for each of our positions left.  We’ll look for a RB somewhere around that number.  Matt Breida ($6,200) looks like a nice value, facing a Cardinal defense giving up the second-most amount of fantasy points to RBs.  Look for him to top 100 total yards and score this week.
Wide Receiver:  Got nearly $8,000/average for 2 spots.  Let’s grab an ultra-stud that’ll be in a shootout.  Julio Jones ($8,800) is expensive but will be worth it.
Flex:  Even after splurging on Jones, we are left with $7,100 for our flex.  We are going to roll the dice on Joe Mixon ($7,100)  in his first game back, against a Miami defense that let Sony Michel gouge them last week.
Final Roster:
QB:  Bortles ($7,000)
RB1:  Lynch ($6,500)
RB2:  Breida ($6,200)
WR1:  Jones ($8,800)
WR2:  Tate ($7,400)
WR3:  Cole ($5,700)
TE:  Ertz ($7,500)
Flex:  Mixon ($7,100)
DEF:  Niners ($3,800)
