4 Star Free Agents - Week 15

No Byes this week.

Quarterbacks:

Alex Smith (KCC) He had a pair of turnovers this past week. Does that indicate he's on a roll with them or is it now very unlikely he has another one. I am going with the latter. He faces off against the Titans, which I think will result in a great game for him. ESPN 27% Yahoo 27% NFL 24%

Matt Moore (MIA) With Tannehill out, the Dolphins have to get up to speed with Matt Moore running their offense. Playing the Jets allows them the opportunity to keep things open for the offense, as I think their defense (below) are surging at a great time and will provide Moore cover. Call this a hunch, but the Jets are terrible on D right now. ESPN 1% Yahoo 1% NFL 1%

Running Backs:

Matt Asiata (MIN) Yes he's touchdown dependent, but he has scored in 4 of his last 5 games. He has scored at least 7 fantasy points in 8 of his last 10 games. At this time of the year, that kind of consistency is a big plus. 7 points is a solid floor, and playing against the Colts this weekend has upside. ESPN 44% Yahoo 46% NFL 20%

Bilal Powell (NYJ) Probably the obvious add of the week, and I'd be remiss if I didn't list him. At this point it seems Forte will miss at least this next week. He's going to get a large amount of touches and he has finished large down the stretch before. ESPN 38% Yahoo 46% NFL 48%

Kenneth Farrow (SDC) Yet another “out of nowhere” candidate, and his situation requires monitoring the news for Melvin Gordon this week. If Gordon isn't healthy, Farrow becomes a near must start based on touch potential alone. ESPN 1% Yahoo 1% NFL 1%

Wide Receivers:

Pierre Garcon (WAS) He's been a PPR beast the last six games, and Washington is playing their hearts out. He just had a score this week, and the match up against Carolina is very favorable right now. ESPN 44% Yahoo 37% NFL 31%

Taylor Gabriel (ATL) I'll admit to being late on this guy, but his touches are driven by the number of injuries ahead of him, and they haven't stopped piling up. He now has 5 touchdowns in his last six games, and plays the 49ers this week at home. Money. ESPN 50% Yahoo 48% NFL 19%

Adam Thielen (MIN) Over the course of the last 4 games, Thielen is #21 in regular scoring while making a run at a 1,000 yard season. The matchup against the Colts will work in his favor as well. ESPN 19% Yahoo 20% NFL 4%

Tight Ends:

Ladarious Green (PIT) Laid an egg with his 2 for 25 yard stat line after the monster one the week before. I think he will put together a nice line this week, as the match up agains the Bengals should provide room for him to work. The weather was a factor last week, so if the forecast is clear in Cincinnati, this is a great play. ESPN 53% Yahoo 54% NFL 27%

Defense:

Miami Here's another “money” pick: the Dolphins have moved into top ten and some top five rankings as a team Defense. And this week, despite playing on the road, their match up against the Jets is as lopsided as they come. ESPN 40% Yahoo 52% NFL 23%
